I’ll start off with stuff I like. I like Art. I like webdesign. Typography, too. I like to paint and doodle. I like traveling. Music, I’m crazy about music. I like hanging out at FNAC , especially when I end up buying cds or books. I like to read. Because of that, I like the library, and Amazon as well. I love museums. I adore the destruction of Surrealism and the nonsense of Dadaism. Therefore, I automatically like AndrĂ© Breton, and his friend Tristan Tzara. I like performance art. I like living in Paris. I like seeing films. I like Opera, but only the female singers. I like staying up late. I love my Robot Mahmud. I like swimming, meaning my favourite season of the year is Summer. I like getting email. I like watching bands play live. I like impulse purchases. I like Egon Schiele, Dali and Tremois. I like HTML and lines of code. I like learning new things. I like lazy Sunday mornings. I like keeping journals, collecting sunsets, the smell of toothpaste, and medicine that tastes like candy.
I dislike going to the dentist, people who spit on the pavement, Flash, not being able to fit into jeans, Sunday evenings, discrimination, and medicine that tastes like medicine.
I am 30 years old, was born and raised in Manila. Did a bit of traveling before moving to France in 2003. I have lived in Lyon, Aix-en-Provence, Paris, and Qatar, and back in Paris. Right now our little family is based in Rome, Italy.
My family is my robot Mahmud, my psychotic plant Bruno, her Highness Medusa the ivy plant from Ikea, Labrador Dali my imaginary dog, Euclid my imaginary cat, the little Surrealist growing and turning pirouettes in my belly, and my partner-in-crime and the love of my life, Julien.
ABOUT THE SITE
Actually, this site never really had a name, but since I put A Perfect Day for Bananafish in my < head > tag, people have automatically assumed that this is what it’s called. I don’t mind, because it is an excellent story written by my favourite writer, and anything associated to the Glass family is aces in my book.
And if you do not know what book or which author I am referring to, you haven’t been reading the good books.
