I’ve started a Fruit Diet. I’ve been eating fruit for the past few days. The rule is that I can eat as much fruit as I want… but just fruit.

Today was my third day. I spent 25 minutes biting my nails, staring lovingly at the fat piece of steak sitting in the fridge, waiting to be cooked. But I was strong. Not once did my knees buckle in the face of Meat. I conquered my demons as I shut the fridge door victoriously.

If I’m not mistaken, Instant Noodles is a kind of fruit, right?

I’m impressed with your will power – a nice, hefty steak against instant noodles why the fruit diet again?

You’re a stronger woman than me. But um, I have to ask, didn’t your new diet affect your…um…natural functions?

You know, chocolate comes from cocoa beans, which come from the fruit of a cacao tree. Di ba fruit din yon?

folks, it’s not going to work. just work out, exercise, that is proven to have results. you don’t even have to limit yourself to one food group, and not eat food that is screaming coronary failure. =P

makis> tonight, the steak just died. it has been fried, been slathered with mayonaise, and digested :-(

jey> I like the vitamin C bit but… if I see another orange I’ll explode!

Kat> haven’t noticed anything… will I? *fretting* Anyway, yeah, I think chocolate can be considered as a fruit…

Irene & Lynn> I’ll update you! Keep your fingers crossed (but I ate the steak)

Mye> I promised myself to exercise this summer. My uncle has been doing the fruit diet for years, though. He swears it works. Even his children are doing it but… they confessed to eating McDo after school from time to time.

hm…fruit diet, huh? good luck! though i must say, it doesn’t look like you even need to be on a diet!

by the way, loved your previous entry: “Maybe we’re all living, talking, breathing Rock Band Discographies. Or at least, that’s how I feel. My “albums” are my age brackets, and I’m the critic of each one.” –damn girl, you hit it right on the nail!

i also love it when i pop in a CD and it instantly brings you memories.

Fruit died? Oh goodness..my mom does that once a year. She’s always impressed with the results..but I’d hate to only eat fruits.

    Way to go, kala!

Kat> Right! that cd for me now is The Smiths… classic :-) How is the little rockstar doing?

Ams> I’ll admit that I’m kind of sick of the sight of oranges and apples right now…

Mari> Oh! That is EXACTLY what I was telling Julien last night. I accused him of convincing me to stop smoking. It’s nice to have someone to blame. Actually, I’m really tempted to start again. And oh, believe me, I really have to start dieting.

Duke> I already DID give in to temptation! Hehehe. But the vigilance resumes today. *i think*

    Is kamote a fruit?

    Yes.

    Why?

Because when you eat it, you go *fururuuuuit*

    Hehehehe.

    Okay pardon the corn!

In my book, noodles are fruits! So go! :D

You’ve put some bad seeds in my brain, kala. I actually followed your steps and broke my diet too. For the first time in months I succumbed and bought a little box of raspeberries (grown in spain of course). And there goes my non-fruit diet.
I managed to evade those for many months, but they hit me in the back :p.
Those things are bad for me, too much vitamin for my own good.
Unfortunately, they taste great, in the same sense as a fat piece of steak, cooked just right with salt and pepper LOL

I sit here watching you through my binoculars while I reach out of a bag of greasy cheddar potato chips muttering:
“FRUIT never trumps steak! That is MADNESS!”

During the year I was vegeratian, my sister told me that when she was in Africa, some people there consider chicken as a vegetable. I believed her and started eating chicken. Only to realize a few months later that she was kidding….
