LOL amusing indeed!:-)Can already imagine the million pinoy wisecracks: “ganda naman ng GAGOng yan!” or “uy, san mo nabili yan?” “Dun sa gago!” hehe

Anyway… hope you got the email? Had pc trouble just as i was sending it so am not quite sure it ever got there, even if it appeared in my sent folder.
In any case, thanks thanks for the chrissy card. I opened it the day I arrived, in the middle of the preholiday christmas mess in my kitchen and instantly felt better :-)

hi mik> yeah, i did get your email, thank you! wasn’t i able to reply? hmmm… now it’s me who should check my sent folders… anyway, thanks for your christmas card as well!

Jesse> go ahead, you can use the picture. heheh. very straightforward, indeed.

Jo Anne> no filipino connection whatsoever. they are totally clueless. the salesladies were probably wondering why i was taking a picture of their store and giggling at the same time

Makis> they DO sell designer stuff. i wnated to buy something so i could have a carrier bag, but it’s just too expensive.

hi irene! i don’t know if there is an exact word for it in english, but it’s somewhere in between ‘ignorant’ and ‘idiot’, but in a much harsher way ;-)

haze> I think it’s a word that means nothing to them, but a lot for us, that’s all. They sell a lot of branded stuff like Hugo Boss etc. When are you coming to Aix? Call me and let’s meet, ok?
