I cannot drive. There is a reason why I still do not have my license at 26. I know that all it takes is “practice”, but practice is beyond me.
- I have no coordination.
- I easily get distracted.
- I don’t care much for rearview mirrors.
- To tell my left from my right, I have to make a “holding a pen and writing” motion.

well, seems like I’m not the only one in this situation. Though, I may be able to drive, I just don’t feel the need to try.
Are you taking courses? Your entry feels very “hands on”.
I’ve also got troubles with my left and my right, but “babord” and “tribord”, I have no troubles with. And Port comes first and Starboard comes second. But I bet an instructor won’t appreciate telling you to take the second street on Starboard then straight to Port. Do they have boats in Aix?

have you got a need to drive? I only know how to drive out of necessity because I was given a company car and it would be too embarrassing to decline it but after 3 years of driving, I’m still lousy at it but at least it gets me from Point A to B…just!

Hi, Kala! Practise is the best teacher, they say. Kahit nakaupo ka sa sofa o kahit sa pagtulog mo, try to imagine that you are driving, changing gears, using the brake, etc. Ganyan ako nong nag-aral ako sa Pinas. )
Natawa naman ako doon sa left or right confusion mo. Para ka palang si Erap. He has to wear a wrist band on his right wrist to remind him of his left from his right *lol*

You can drive, Kala. Yes you can…
- you have coordination! driving needs coordination & we actually learn coordination to drive. it is learned & not an innate ability. some learn faster & some just takes a little longer. imagine your body & mind in complete harmony
- i was always distracted when i was driving in manila! can you imagine the mess of manila roads?!
- rearview & side mirrors will be automatic like changing gears
- you can always do your “pen & writing” motion while you’re driving. if your passengers have anything to say about it, kick them out of the car!

Ah, well, I promised the hubby I’d learn before we got married. The baby is over a year old and I’m still on my L’s. My problem is I’m just too lazy to get the required number of hours to qualify for the next test. I have no problem with public transport!

Hello Kala. I have all of the above and I have managed to drive for many years now with a few (very few)accidents here and there but regardless, I still drive, haha. You can do it!

- You are not alone, Kala!!! I feel miserable because I don’t know how to drive until I reach this age (back in Pinas 2003 I drove my uncle’s jeepney & i was happy because I drove it well).
- hell I failed my exam!!! French code de la route is really pissing me off
But I am not hopeless I know the that I will have it sooner and you will have it too! Remember that driving is peanut! We just need pratice, more practice!
- Everything can be learned and driving is not an exception….So goodluck and we’ll ask Makis to teach us, so Makis your next assignment……A CAR!
