Because he knew things about the internet and I knew things about the internet we were both working in the tall, tall building in Makati.

I didn’t know him that well when we were working there because he had his own cubicle and he was a “boss” and I was afraid to come up to him and say hello.

Afterwards he started taking pictures and then shared his URL to people and I found the URL and left comments because now it was ok to do so because he wasn’t a “boss” anymore.

He came to my wedding day even though we just had beers and chips. He came all the way to Quezon City in the pouring rain with his lovely wife to wish me the best. Is that something a “boss” would do?

But you see, he’s not a “boss” or an “IT expert”, he’s Junnie, and he’s a regular guy while being not-so-regular. He takes pictures and slides down chutes of snow and waits in airports and runs after buses in Canada …

And he’s just so… happy with life. I don’t know how he can stay so positive, so optimistic, so content.

He’s a person who captures fireflies in his hands, but releases them before they die. He wants others to see that beautiful light, too.

Happ birthday Junnie.
