As you get older you start to lose your sense of reality.

I just had a conversation with my mother. I had a 55-minute phone card, and of course she had to update me of the current happenings in the life of our smelly, snoring dog– which is not much really, because he doesn’t do much all day, except smell bad and snore, like I just mentioned.

Kala’s mother: Zorro really is an intelligent dog.

Kala: What did he do now?

(note: the only good thing Zorro has successfully achieved in life was to learn how to scratch at the door when he wants to peepee and poopoo. Thank god it didn’t lead to dog aneurysm – the effort was too much but he survived it)

Kala’s mother: I stepped on his tail awhile ago, because you know how he likes to sleep by the stairs in the dark? And instead of biting my leg, he bit his own leg.

pause.

Kala: That’s not intelligence, that’s stupidity.

Kala’s mother (voice quivering in anger): DON’T CALL ZORRO STUPID!!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen : a mother’s unconditional love.
